April 22nd marks the 52nd Earth Day! To celebrate, The Arts Bus & White River Craft Center are collaborating to BEE Happy – a workshop, community art pop-up installation and family program! We aim to celebrate the mighty bee and bring attention to the essential role pollinators play in our ecosystem, and build a happy buzz about town leading up to Earth Day and summer.
BEE Happy for Earth Day Workshop: On Saturday, April 16th, we invite families & small groups of 2-4 to create with us and join the 'hive' of activities and create a buzz about town to promote pollinators and a permanent bee mural coming soon to Randolph Village!
We'll use recycled materials, paint, paper to make individual & group projects including:
-Build-a-Bee hovering bees to create a 'swarm' for installation around Randolph that we'll place in trees, on lampposts, and in the ground to over seed-planting locations for bee-friendly flowers!
-Bee pot planters with seed starters for pollinators – that you'll take home or we'll place at senior care centers & public places throughout town.
-'Bee Happy in Vermont!' group-made mural we'll assemble together that day to be showcased in the BEE Happy Gallery Show on display in the White River Craft Center, throughout town, and published on-line in April & May!
Cost: Free!
