GREEN UP DAY - Saturday, May 7, 2022. It's that time again. Green Up bags and sign-ups will be held at Wallingford's Gilbert Hart Library on Rte 7 in Wallingford on May 7, 2022 from 8 am to noon. Filled bags and other "trashy" stuff can be brought to the Wallingford Transfer Station on Waldo Lane which is open Saturdays 8-noon, Mondays and Wednesdays noon-5 pm. If you are not able to make it to the Library on May 7th, call me and we can arrange sign-ups and bag distribution at a more convenient time for you. Picking up Trash - Safety First: Wear gloves. Tie up filled bags. Check for Ticks when you get home. If you find syringes and needles, Don't touch the Needle and carefully place syringe and needle in a glass or heavy plastic container. Don't let Kids pick up syringes. Get an Adult. Road Caution - Always face oncoming traffic.
2022 GREEN UP DAY CHALLENGE - CLEAN EVERY MILE. In 2021 volunteers greened up 77.6% of VT's 13,056 miles of town roads. With your help to rally volunteers, we can reach our 100% goal!
