Spring is here and the signs are all around us! Amphibians have been busy on the move returning to their spring habitats: vernal pools. Want to learn more about salamanders, frogs, and fairy shrimp (what are those!?)? Join us at the Lamoille County Nature Center at 10:30 am on Sunday, May 1st for an exploratory stroll to the vernal pools. Our guest speaker, Lauren Gibson of the Natural Resource Conservation Service, is a vernal pool expert prepared to guide us through the inner workings of a vernal pool, and the critters that rely upon them. Family friendly and FREE to the community. No RSVP required. Dress to get wet and muddy!
The Lamoille County Nature Center is located at 1600 Cole Hill Road, Morristown, VT 05661. This free event starts at 10:30 am on Sunday, May 1st.
