On Monday, April 11th, the Winooski Partnership for Prevention will be hosting a free Take-Out Community Dinner featuring Ethiopian & Eritrean cuisine. RSVP via this form (https://forms.gle/i7e6Tp71NFqhL3g28) to reserve your meal featuring local chef Alganesh Michaels of A Taste of Abyssinia (menu below). If you would like to join at our community center clean-up prior to the meal (we're excited to have Mayor Kristine Lott joining for this clean-up), you can let us know using the Google form as well.

We will have 65 free meals available (up to 4 per family) and will honor reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis (you will receive an email from Jane confirming your meal or letting you know that you will be on the waitlist). Read on for the full menu and RSVP here (https://forms.gle/oKEaawFXYzXHAqJH8). Pick-up will be from the lobby of the O'Brien Community Center (32 Malletts Bay Ave, Winooski, VT) between 4PM and 6PM (sharp). All folks picking up meals are required to wear a mask and should bring a bag to carry their take-out meals home with.
MENU
(Meat Main) Yesiga Wet (Spiced Beef): beef braised in spicy berbere, onion, garlic, ginger, tomato, and clarified butter
(Veggie Main) Enguday Wet (Mildly Spiced Mushroom): marinated mushroom, roasted and braised in berbere, onion, ginger, garlic, and tomato
Yemesser Alicha (Curried Lentil): split orange lentils cooked with onion, garlic, ginger, and curry seasonings
Gomen (Mildly Seasoned Collard Green): chopped collard greens slow cooked with onion, tomato, celery, jalapeño, ginger, and garlic
Injera (Fermented Bread): sourdough flatbread unique staple food that serves as an edible utensil
Rice: gluten-free option in place of injera (not included in all meals)
