Rochester High School Yearbook Project

From the final yearbook published in 2017 and going back as far as 1946, the Rochester Public Library was able to gather 58 years of Rochester High School history by combining their collection with that of the Rochester Historical Society and retired Rochester High School teachers.

Books were sent off to OCI Records Conversion who scanned every page of every book and complied them into electronic files. Once the records are attached to the Rochester Public Library and the Rochester Historical Society websites, you will be able to either browse through the yearbooks at home or use a computer here at the library.

A public program is scheduled for Tuesday@2 on April 5th to show some highlights from the records, take requests from the audience to see a picture of your choosing up on the big screen, and teach you the simple steps to search the books from home.

During the program, if you want to see a picture of your high school sweetheart, just give us a name and the year and voila….they will be almost life size on the screen.

This program is co-sponsored by the Rochester Public Library and the Rochester Historical Society. Contact the library for a reservation for this limited seating event.
