Vermont Family Network welcomes Pete Wright, Esq. from Wrightslaw to Burlington! A national expert, he will present on "Special Education Law and Advocacy." This full-day training program is designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates, and attorneys. It will focus on: Special Education Law, Rights & Responsibilities, Tests & Measurements to Measure Progress & Regression, SMART Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Introduction to Tactics & Strategies for Effective Advocacy.
The Vermont Family Network 2022 Annual Conference will be held on Thursday, April 14th from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration and exhibits opening at 8:00 a.m. This in person event will be held at the Delta Hotel by Marriott in Burlington.
The Parent/Guardian registration fee is $80.00. The Professional registration fee is $150. Registration fee includes a continental breakfast, box lunch and hard copies of the three books needed for the training. Over lunch parents will have an opportunity to chat. VFN's goal is to bring inspiring speakers and practical information to families of children and youth with disabilities or special health needs and the professionals who serve them.
