Fox Paw School's tracking club meets Saturday!
Come join us the first Saturday of every month at the Stranahan Town Forest in Marshfield as we explore the diverse habitats of our North Woods Vermont home. We'll put together the stories of the land based on the tracks we see and talk about the hidden lives of our animal neighbors. I'll provide some loose structure and instruction, so bring your curiosity and your questions!
Our non-human neighbors live rich and complex lives all around us, but unless we're taught how to see it, we'll never know what they're up to. Come join us as we listen for returning birds; search for sprigs of green amongst last year's leaf litter; and identify tracks in order to interpret behavior, discuss the ways animals move across the landscape, and talk about how our wild neighbors are earning their livings during this ascendant early spring month.
Our next meeting is this Saturday, April 2nd, from 9-noon. We'll be out there in (almost) any weather—the forecast looks warm and sunny, but come prepared!
