Come enjoy the talents of your local farmers, chefs, bakers, and artisans, while letting the beautiful, innovative sounds of instrumental guitarist Judson Kimble tickle your ears. The Richmond Farmers Market is back: 3-6:30pm Fridays, rain or shine. Music begins at 5.
Come fill your grocery bags with: veggies, meats, eggs, honey, maple syrup, bread, goat cheese, pesto, jams, baked goods, wine, maple candy, veggie starts for your garden and more. Looking for gifts? The market is a great place to find beautiful and locally made gifts: block-printed cards, homemade soaps, wool (both spun right here in Richmond), pottery, wine, flower baskets, upcycled sewn goods, and more. Farmers Market tokens make great gifts too.
And take Friday nights off from cooking -- there will be plenty of delicious and healthy dining options at the market, including: Maple Wind's grilled sausages, burgers, and hotdogs; Samosaman's samosas; Kadric's meat or spinach pies, and stuffed cabbage; and some wonderful Central Asian vegetable dishes from Kyrgyz Kitchen. Drinks will include iced herbal tea and fresh-squeezed lemonade. And for dessert you can find homemade Ice cream and scrumptious pastries.
New vendors to check out: Gerard’s Breads of Tradition, Pachapapa Pesto, Midnight Goat Farm (back from 2 years ago), Stoneware Designs, Upgoods, Painter of Pears, Brit Sue’s Green House, East Shore Vineyard (taking turns in our wine booth with Huntington River Vineyard), Night Kitchen (pastries), and Kyrgyz Kitchen.
You can read more about our vendors on our website at http://richmondfarmersmarketvt.org/ There you can sign up for our newsletter, too!
If arriving by car and planning to stay a while, please try parking at the Town Center or behind the athletic fields (head down the park access road) and enjoying a walk across the green to make it easier on bakery patrons and those who are only stopping by briefly. Extra gratitude to those who arrive on foot or bicycle!
EBT and debit cards accepted. For more information contact market manager Lauren Esserman at RFMManager@gmail.com or 802-999-7514
