Please join us at LCS for a Festival of the Harlem Renaissance.
Thursday, March 31, 1:30-2:30pm.
The Harlem Renaissance (c.1918-1937) was a vital period of African-American emergence and expression of arts and culture.
STEP BACK INTO this era with LCS students.
Experience the urban life of the Harlem Renaissance through:
an exhibit of artwork inspired by Lois Mailou Jones, student poetry and the works of Langston Hughes, music and dance, street games, an interactive painting by William H. Johnson and a slice of sweet potato pie (as long as they last...)
For more information call 453-2119.
Thanks to our many volunteers and to the Tari Shattuck Educational Foundation.
