Hello Community,
I will be teaching a Free Qi Gong class this September 6th from 6p.m. to 7p.m. at the Shelburne town hall. This is an introductory class to the Wild Goose Qi Gong two day retreat that will continue on Sept. 7 and 8. (see below for details)
Qi Gong is a 5000 year old energy exercise system from China similar to yoga in its effects but often easier to perform for some people who may find yoga to "intense".
The Wild Goose, known to soar high over mount Everest inspired Taoist monks to create "Wild Goose" Qi Gong. By imitating the graceful movements of the Wild Goose this gentle exercise system increases our energy, flexibility and over all well being. And it is fun to do!
During the two day retreat we will learn" Wild Goose 1" a sequence that can be done within 15 minutes and trains in the fundamentals of Qi Gong such as, Gathering fresh Qi(energy), dispersing negative Qi and opening the 12 meridians(used in acupuncture).
