Ukranian Easter Eggs

Past event
Mar 25, 2022, 6:30 to 8:30 PM

Come to Bethany UCC across from Chandler in Randolph to learn about the art of making Psanky (Ukranian Easter Eggs). If you are old enough to hold an egg and draw a line you will create an egg that you can take home in this 2 hour event - or you can go all out and begin an egg that might take several sessions.

Kim Kraus and Gene Kraus will walk you through the process step by step. Absolutely no experience is necessary, but experienced Psanky decorators are welcome to join in and find others who enjoy this craft.

Decorating Psanky can be very relaxing and meditative.

We will also share something about the history of this eastern folk art as passed down from Gene's grandmother/Kim's great grandmother.

We will provide the eggs and all the equipment necessary.

It would be helpful (but not necessary) if you called Bethany at (802) 728-5177 or responded by clicking the email associated with this post. Leave a message and tell us how many people you will be bringing. This will ensure that we have adequate eggs and supplies for everyone.

We look forward to seeing you.

(PS there will be a special opportunity for 3rd thru 5th graders at with Bethany's Youth Group beginning from 3:30 to 5:00 at the same time. All kids are welcome at youth group and at the evening opportunity.)
