About the film:
Losing ground to climate change, this Alaskan community resolves to save itself.
Patagonia Films presents a feature documentary about the inhabitants of Newtok, Alaska, a village that needs to urgently relocate due to climate change. Scientists warn that communities like Newtok are only the tip of a global wave of climate refugees we should expect to see as the climate crisis impacts more parts of the world. This story reflects a larger goal of educating Patagonia audiences about climate justice issues. We will engage with our community by offering a clear call to action that will benefit the people of Newtok.
Directly after the film, filmmakers Michael Kirby Smith & Andrew Burton will be hosting a Q+A discussion.
