The Racism in America Forum on March 23, 2022, at 7:00 pm, will focus on Policing, Public Safety and People of Color: What progress has been made regarding policing and public safety in Vermont, and what are the lingering challenges that must be addressed? Panelists will include Captain Barbara Kessler and Dr. Etan Nasreddin-Longo, Co-Directors of the Vermont State Police Fair and Impartial Policing Program. Heather Simon, Executive Director of the Criminal Justice Council and head of the Vermont Police Academy, Chief Norma Hardy of the Brattleboro Police Department, UVM Economics Professor Stephanie Seguino, and Maroni Minter, Campaign Director of the Vermont ACLU.
