Community Forum on Drugs & Alcohol

Past event
Apr 5, 2022, 6 to 7:30 PM

The Central Vermont Prevention Coalition is hosting a series of open community forums on drug & alcohol use across Central Vermont, this one for the towns of Berlin, Calais, Middlesex, East Montpelier, and Worcester. This event comes at a critical time as drug and alcohol use and overdose deaths have increased dramatically during the pandemic in every part of Vermont and youth are struggling with the impacts of the pandemic. Make your voice heard!

At this forum you will:
- learn about treatment, recovery, prevention, and harm reduction resources available in Central Vermont
- have time to ask questions to an expert panel
- hear from individuals who are in recovery themselves
- learn about actions designed for your region that you can take to support youth
- have time to share YOUR ideas to your community and organize to make them happen

This important event will take place on Tuesday, April 5th from 6-7:30pm
via Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85916312680

About CVPC:

The Central Vermont Prevention Coalition (CVPC) is an interdisciplinary collaboration of professional organizations and agencies working in the fields of substance use prevention, harm reduction & disease prevention, treatment, recovery, and restorative justice. Central Vermont Medical Center serves as the foundational "backbone" member of the coalition.

CVPC's mission is to create a harmonized and stigma-free system of care in Central Vermont where there is no wrong door, no wrong time to get help and support for substance use disorders, and to prevent the initiation of substance use. The participation of people and families who have experienced the harms of substance use are vital to our work.
