Cochran's Ski Area Rope a Thon Fundraiser, Brownies!

Past event
Mar 18 to 20, 2022

Dear Neighbors,
We are helping to raise money for this year's Rope a Thon at Cochran's Ski Area, looking to total 4 million vertical feet on the rope tow and 8000 runs between this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We bought a season's pass at $300 for the entire family, and have been loving this great space. They're crazy nice to our kids. Though she isn't on the race team, one of the coaches offered to sharpen the youngest one's skis, is doing it tonight at his house, and also gave her a pair of gloves to keep because she was having a hard time gripping the rope tow with her own.

Binah and Torah'Yah, ages 9 and 12, are selling brownies to contribute to them staying operational for all eternity. The $5 that we receive from your purchase of a delicious, organic, homemade brownie, will be turned in this weekend at the event and will magically transform into turns, slashes, speed, and the defiance of gravity. Brownies include Ecuadorian, well grown, fair trade, unprocessed, cacao. If you are not familiar with the unfortunate and disruptive practices that are part of the conventional chocolate industry, and would like to know, check out the chocolate episode of the docuseries "Rotten" on Netflix. Brownies include some wildcrafted acorn and yellow dock seed flour, and are sweetened with organic brown sugar. Gluten free can be made if that's your style, with some notice. Email, call or text at 802-393-3067.

They be will available for pick up Thursday after about 4:30 pm until whenever that evening and can be picked up on Friday anytime after 1:00. At around 4:00 on Friday we will happily deliver to anyone who can't make it to 2133 Prindle Rd, yellow house at the top on the right, for their purchase. If you choose to donate directly to Cochran's, look to sponsor Binah Cluba on the link below, where you will see a sample message from the website. We are hoping to raise between $10 and $20 per sponsor.

Help me support Cochran's Ski Area! As a non-profit community-supported ski hill, there is a large physical and financial effort that goes into operating on a shoe-string budget. The Cochran's Rope-a-thon is the biggest fundraising outreach of the year and provides for a dominant chunk of the funds required to provide truly affordable skiing, snowboarding and race training to local families. Go to https://cochranskiarea.com/sponsor-2022/ to sponsor me in this year's Rope-a-thon and help continue the mission! AND please come to Cochran's the weekend of March 18-20th to celebrate the event on the historic ropetow!

Thanks so much!

Elliot, Torah'Yah, and Binah Cluba
