Garden Inspiration

It may be too soon to work in the garden, but it isn't too soon to dream, to be inspired, and to plan.

The Rochester Public Library continues its "Tuesdays at 2:00" series on March 22, with one of Rochester's most experienced gardeners, Mary McGrath. Mary is known for her knowledge of gardening in Vermont, her perennial beds, and her vegetable gardening. Mary has the highest elevation garden in town, so if she can grow it successfully in her cold, windy location, so can you!

She will present photos from her Rochester garden, as well as some from the gardens in Greensboro that she and her husband developed over their 28 years there. Come see how you too can downsize and convert a low-maintenance garden into a high-maintenance one in 5 short summers!

The program will be both in-person with limited seating and also available by Zoom. Reserve a seat by emailing the library anytime at rochesterpubliclibraryVT@gmail.com or call during open hours 767-3927.
