Each month, the Lanpher Library hosts a Junior Naturalist Program sponsored by the Lamoille County Nature Center.
On Monday, March 21st at 6:00p.m., we'll learn about Evergreens in Winter!
Ever wonder how evergreens like the pine, spruce, and hemlock manage to keep their leaves green through the coldest of winters when the sunlight is scarce and most water is frozen? We'll appreciate the special adaptations of these green giants and practice identifying them by needle and cone.
These programs are FREE, FUN, INFORMATIVE and INTERACTIVE!
Mark your calendars for the rest of the season, sponsored by the Green Mountain Fund:
Monday, April 11th 6:00: Vernal Pool Party!
Monday, May 16th, 6:00: Humble Bumblebees
Monday, June 20th, 6:00: Snakes of Vermont
We're planning to resume our regular weekly story time programs in May...and of course, stay tuned for some exciting summer plans!
