Dementia/Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group

Past event
Apr 26, 2022, 3:30 to 5 PM

We are able to gather once again in-person for the Caregivers support group starting Tuesday, March 22nd from 3:30 to 5:00 pm (and every 4th Tuesday). We have reserved the Vermont Room (2nd floor) of the Goodrich Library, downtown Newport for the months to come. There is an elevator and handicap parking in the back of the building for your convenience.

Since some attendees have been "Zoom-ing" from the comforts of their home, we are going to continue this Zoom access.

FYI: Marti Kingsley, Alzheimer Assn. SG facilitator, will be opening this meeting to speak about Grief and how it can effect your personal Caregiving role. This is an open conversation (about 15-20 minutes) at which time we'll regroup to use remaining time to share your individual challenges/concerns/questions - very informal and confidential! We hope you can join us!

FYI: The Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging has partnered with an online resource that you might find helpful. This is a free service which offers a wide range of topics for caregivers available 24/7. If you have some "me" time, you might like to check it out!
