Just a reminder that there will be a program on solar electric systems this Wednesday. Read below: SOLAR: IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES Interested in solar electricity? Come to the Craftsbury Public Library on Wed. May 28 at 7 pm. The Craftsbury Energy Committee is offering a workshop shedding light on the details of photovoltaic system operations with Rich Nicol of Solartech, the Northeast Kingdom’s own PV installer. Both grid-tie and off-grid solar electric systems will be discussed as well as basic system principles and the purpose of the various components.The options for mounting solar arrays including roof and fixed ground mount arrays as well as tracking systems will be explained.PV system costs and a review of current incentives for both residential and business installations will conclude the discussion.
There will also be testimonials from owners of solar systems who will talk about their real-life experiences with using solar energy in the home. There will be light refreshments. For more information call energy committee chair, Amelia Fritz at 586-2887.
