Interested in Agricultural and Natural Resource Issues? Attend the Orleans Local Workgroup meeting.

Did you know that Vermont USDA National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) has 113 conservation practices available to farmers and landowners in Orleans County! Come to our Locally Led Conservation Planning meeting on April 7th 9:30-2:20 at the Goodridge Memorial Library 202 Main Street Newport to learn more. Orleans County Conservation District, in cooperation with NRCS Newport and Vermont Department of Environmental (VTDEC) are inviting individuals who have an interest in natural resource conditions to this upcoming meeting to gather input on conservation needs and conservation practices in Orleans County to establish board conservation goals and provide recommendations to the USDA NRCS and VTDEC about how to allocate resources to reflect local resource concern priorities.

The public is welcome and strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.
