Amphibian Ecology and Road Rescue Training

Join our team of amphibian "crossing guards" this spring!

Salamanders and frogs migrate by the thousands from forests to wetlands each spring, often crossing roads at great peril. On the rainiest nights, these seldom-seen amphibians radiate charisma, inspiration, and moxie.

At this year's virtual training event hosted by MRV Libraries and Friends of Mad River, North Branch Nature Center's biologist Pete Kerby-Miller will share local amphibian ecology and tips for participating in the Amphibian Road Crossing (ARC) community science project.
