Spring through summer, calling frogs and toads grace the soundscape of a Vermont night. Learn the ecology and vocalizations of local species of anurans, from the diminutive peep of the Spring Peeper to the deep, resonant “jug-a-rum” of the American Bullfrog. After a slide show in the Hunger Mount Coop Community Room, we’ll carpool to the Elm Street Recreation Area parking lot and take an evening trail hike to the beaver ponds of the North Branch River Park. Water-proof rubber boots are best, but not required. Please bring a flashlight or head lamp.
Please pre-register with Krystal Fuller at the Coop at 802-223-8000 or krystalf@hungermountain.coop.
