Clean Water & River Access for All in the White River

Past event
Mar 15, 2022, 6:30 to 8 PM

• Do you know about the new White River Water Trail? Where do you love to swim, fish, boat, or enjoy the river?
• How are climate change and severe storms impacting the White River? What can we do about it?
• What can towns and individuals do to improve water quality and keep the river fishable and swimmable, save money and reduce road damage?

Join Bethel for All, the Bethel Conservation Commission and White River Partnership for the second Bethel Accessibility Forum. Your voice matters! Come share your ideas for the future of Bethel and the White River watershed and help shape upcoming projects and plans.

You'll hear from three great speakers about how the river and watershed are doing, what the data tells us about stormwater and watershed health, and exciting ways that towns and the White River Partnership are improving water quality and river access. Speakers:
• Mary Russ, Executive Director of the White River Partnership
Christian Pelletier, Program Coordinator of the White River Partnership
• Emily Lewis, Landscape Architect / Environmental Planner at DuBois & King

In the second half, we'll have an interactive workshop to shape Bethel's village accessibility and stormwater plans. Put your ideas on the map and help prioritize recreation, river access, and stormwater projects.

• Register and share ideas online: https://bethelvtstrong.org/bethel-for-all-events/cleanwater-forum
• Want to get involved? Come learn about ways to get involved with water monitoring and watershed projects, upcoming walk audits, spring demonstration projects, and the Better Block project coming back to Bethel this year
