The Selectboard seeks one new member for a new town committee called the "ARPA Advisory Committee." ARPA stands for the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 which distributed pandemic-related aid to municipalities across the country. The Town of Cambridge received $423,130 this year and will receive the same amount next year.

The ARPA Advisory Committee is charged with seeking community input and making recommendations to the Selectboard about how to use this money. The Selectboard seeks one volunteer to join the seven voting members to be appointed to this committee. Members will serve until all required reports have been submitted to the federal government, no later than March 31, 2027. The Selectboard encourages people who have not previously been involved in town government to apply.

This committee is holding their first meeting on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30 PM via Zoom and in-person. Anyone interested in hearing more information or being a part of this committee is welcome to join. More information can be found in the "Selectboard Resolution Regarding the ARPA Advisory Committee" on the town's website: https://cambridgetownvt.documents-on-demand.com/?l=aaf1ca0ec643ec11a357000c29a59557&d=4c[...]557.
