I received an email from Ken Robie, VT Agency of Transportation, announcing a meeting that the state is holding "prior to installation" of the Centerline Rumble Strips. The meeting is this Tuesday at the No. Hero Community Hall (next to Hero's Welcome) at 7pm. Please plan to attend! Here is the formal notice he attached to his email:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) will be holding a Public Informational Meeting to relay information on the installation of centerline rumble stripes between Colchester and Alburgh, Vermont. This meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the North Hero Community Hall (located beside Hero’s Welcome), 3537 US Route 2, North Hero, Vermont.
VTrans ensures that all public meetings and locations are accessible to persons with disabilities. Any person with a disability may request accommodation in order to fully participate in any public meeting held by VTrans.
