Hello fellow residents of Richmond, VT,

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Cochrans family and Cochrans ski area but they run a non profit ski area in Richmond. Their goal has been to provide affordable skiing and snowboarding to children and adults that may otherwise never have the opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard. I have been skiing and racing there since I was 5 years old. Every year they have a big fundraiser at the end of the year known as the Rope-A-Thon. Participants sign up to be sponsored by family, friends, and coworkers. The fundraising goes on for about a month until the weekend of March 18th. On that Friday everybody goes to Cochrans to ski and celebrate that years fundraising efforts. Through this Monday all donations up to $5,000.00 will be matched by a generous family.
