Npa Welcomes Burlington College

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (Ward 4 and Ward 7, which is now officially the NORTH DISTRICT of Burlington) will WELCOME BURLINGTON COLLEGE and hear a presentation from a student who has been involved in the North Avenue Corridor Study. Sam Barrett surveyed BC students and faculty for ideas and preferences for their segment of the corridor, which is the gateway to their new campus. Sam will be joined by Sandy Baird who teaches a course in Civic Engagement, David Littlefield who has a proposal for the community, and CoraLee Holm, Director of Community and Alumni Relations. Don't miss opportunity to learn more about lifelong learning opportunities, summer events like WYSIWYG, and the proposed Community Center.

NPA will also host a neighborly discussion "in the round" about school issues (tax rate vote June 3, capital fund drive for new high school, search for interim or new Supt, hiring VP for BHS, update on diversity issues, and anything else school-related that neighbors want to discuss .
