Iyengar Yoga at the Richmond Free Library
Sunday, March 6-27
10-11:30 am
Hi all! Join me, Rebecca Weisman, Director of the Iyengar Yoga Center of Vermont, for a winter series of Iyengar Yoga at the Richmond Library. The Iyengar approach to yoga is a dynamic, systematic, and thoughtful method to understanding the workings of the body through foundational poses (asanas), breathing (pranayama), anatomy, and yoga philosophy. Whether you are a brand new student, a returning practitioner, or looking to deepen your knowledge of yoga, Iyengar Yoga is a perfect way to learn poses from the ground up through principles of alignment and intelligent movement. We will start with the basics and build from there, learning to work safely with injuries, limitations, and taking the time to understand each pose before moving on. We will use props creatively to build confidence and stability and to aid in opening the body and releasing tension. Certified Iyengar teachers are highly trained and ready to assist you in a variety of modifications to help tailor your practice to your needs. Questions? Feel free to reach out— I'd love to chat! rebecca@iycvt.com
