The Middlebury Community Music Center is excited to present an online interactive performance and discussion with the renowned Belgian traditional musicians, Hartwin and Ward Dhoore on Saturday, March 12th at 10:00AM EST.

Hartwin and Ward grew up in a family "where making music was encouraged and folk music was never far away." Hartwin, Ward and their brother Koen for several years comprised Trio Dhoore, an acclaimed Belgian "new trad" trio. Trio Dhoore has received a lot of buzz for their innovative, modern take on traditional folk music, and most recently won the 2021 Best Album award in the Flanders Folk Awards for their album August. Recently, Hartwin and Ward have formed a new duo called Siger and are currently working on their debut album. Hartwin and Ward will join the MCMC community for a one-hour performance and Q & A session, and will discuss their backgrounds, approaches to composing and music making, and building a musical community, among other topics. You won't want to miss this unique opportunity to pick the brains of the next generation's most sought after folk musicians!
