Marshfield is planning to build a picnic shelter at the Old Schoolhouse Common. The structure will be 20'x36', open sided post and beam construction (similar to Plainfield's picnic shelter). The location of the shelter hasn't been decided and there are two options being considered. One option is to build the shelter to the right of the parking lot as you drive in(near the community garden)and the other option is on the left side of the parking lot across the field (toward the town garage) at the base of the hill where the solar trackers are located.

you can access a map indicating the potential shelter sites (blue rectangles) and a list of pros and cons for each site. (If the above link does not work for you we can send you the files through your email.) The sites can also be viewed at the OSC grounds because we've staked out both locations. We invite anyone who would like to share their input regarding the placement of the shelter to join the Marshfield Select Board meeting Tuesday March 8th at 5:30 pm. This meeting is both in-person and on Zoom.
If joining the meeting by Zoom please use the link from this webpage: https://marshfieldvt.gov/index.asp?SEC=36B5B307-F6E4-4459-BDAF-6BD24BEE5F58&Type=B_BASIC
If you have general questions, comments or concerns about the shelter please contact Rich Phillips (richphillips363@gmail.com) or Melissa Seifert (emaell@gmail.com)
Thank you for your consideration
All the best,
