The City of Winooski is excited to announce a Gateway Corridor Project that will update the City's zoning regulations on East Allen St, Main St and Malletts Bay Ave. The Project will focus on future growth and the overall character - building form, land use and transportation- of these corridors.
The Project will begin with a six day public design workshop held from June 13-18 at the O’Brien Community Center. The public workshop will be led by the nationally-recognized planning firms of Ferrell Madden with Dreher Design Associates, Inc. and Urban Advantage. Members of the community are invited to come and share their visions for the Gateway Corridors. The collective community vision will then become the basis for a 'form-based code' zoning that will guide future development and growth on the corridors.
More information and a schedule of events can be found on the Project website: www.winooskigateways.com.
The Winooski Planning Commission encourages the community to come out and add your voice to this important project shaping the future of our City.
