Building with Hempcrete Introduction Class March 13

Past event
Mar 13, 2022, 12 to 3 PM

Hello natural building enthusiasts!
I've been in the process of producing hempcrete blocks in preparation for our house builed in the coming spring.
The opportunity to learn and have a bit of hands on experience has not been often available in Vermont(yet!), and so..
If you don't know, "Hempcrete" is a name for a relatively new construction method that uses "true Hemp" hurd, lime and water blended and formed, to function as a complete wall system.
It has many wonderful traits that make it an excellent choice for the natural builder.

I welcome you to join a small Hempcrete introduction workshop,
Where we will go over the basics, not in great depth but enough to understand the essentials,
And then we will mix up a batch and participants will be invited to press a small block to get a feel for the material .

If you are interested in a more in depth workshop, Yestermorrow building school is hosting a 2 day Hempcrete 101 with knowledgeable and well established teachers in the later part of April which I'm sure will excellent.
The class will take place in a large granite shed with lots of space and tall ceilings and everyone are welcome to conduct themselves in any way they feel comfortable.

Class will cost 25 dollars and will likely run between 2 to 3 hours
Please RSVP so i could make sure that there is enough parking and material ready
