Winter Tracking on the Huntington Community Forest with Matt Kolan
Saturday, March 5, 10 am - noon

Join us at the new Community Forest for a morning of tracking and trailing with naturalist, tracker, and UVM faculty member Matt Kolan. This workshop will be an opportunity to develop and/or hone our ability to read tracks and sign while deepening our relationships with some of the wild inhabitants of the Community Forest. Conditions permitting, we may also delve into the art of trailing--back-tracking a set of carnivore tracks to connect with some of the ways that our four-legged neighbors are engaging with and inhabiting the Community Forest. All levels of experience are welcome. This educational program sponsored by the Huntington Conservation Commission is free, but pre-registration is REQUIRED as the number of participants is limited to 12.
