Pollinator Pathway of Addison County (PPAC) announces the launch of its creation with a series of free public webinars on pollinators, native plants, and rewilding! Please join us to learn about this exciting new project connecting our communities!
Tuesday, March 1, 7:00 PM, Donna Merrill, founder of the Pollinator Pathway Northeast, will present "Pollinator Pathway: Bee On It"
Five years ago, Donna Merrill built a "highway" of native plants for pollinators that connected neighbors and communities across Eastern New York and Western Connecticut. Witnessing the excitement unleashed by this project, she launched the Pollinator Pathway. Learn from Donna how property owners and towns can work together making simple changes "one backyard at a time" to reverse the many environmental threats to our wildlife, our water and ourselves.
Learn about the Pollinator Pathway-- what it is, why do it, and how to set in motion an energy that will inspire our neighbors and our communities to build a healthier world, not just for the bees and butterflies but for all of us.
Many thanks to the New Haven Conservation Commission for co-sponsoring the 1st Speaker!
The series continues Thursday, March 10, 7:00 PM, with Emily May from the Xerces Society who will discuss how to garden for pollinators with native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees that support the diversity of Addison County's native pollinators.
