Hello Neighbors,
A few items from your School Board as we approach the Town Meeting budget vote:
1) The 2022-2023 School Budget informational meeting is scheduled for 6pm Thursday, February 24th. This is an online only meeting. Please find the Google Meeting link on the Agenda for the informational meeting in the printed Town report.
2) If you are unable to make the meeting, please feel free to send your question(s) to "bchutter@board.gisu.org" . We will respond to you directly as well as read and answer the question at the informational meeting so everyone can benefit. We will send out a link to a recording of the meeting and presentation once they have been posted.
3) Finally, if you are really busy, here is the summary of the budget and tax rate:
-Budget is up 6.9% and revenues are up 28.6% resulting in a 0.4 cent tax rate increase
-Estimated property tax increase on $200,000 home is $8
$300,00 home is $12
