Many of you may know that the Buffalo Soldiers had some history here in Essex. Stationed for a time at Camp Ethan Allen. You may have seen the placards in that small park in front of Officer's Row just off Hwy 15.

Buffalo Soldiers: The Forgotten Black Army in the West: Learn more about the largely unknown history of African American army regiments, nicknamed the Buffalo Soldiers. Members of the Buffalo Soldiers of the American West organization will bring these individuals to life with stories, historically accurate costumes and artifacts. Ideal for all ages. Saturday February 26 from 3 – 4 pm ET.
