Barre City Residents,
The Barre City Mayoral forum will be this Friday, February 25 from 7:00-8:00pm.
I want to be sure that everyone knows how to watch and partcipate. The forum will be broadcast live on CVTV channel 194, livestreamed on CVTV's website, and presented via Zoom. You can find more information about the debate and find the link to register for the event on my website: www.barrevtjake.com.
I've been working with Rich to hammer out the details of our debate since the idea was first floated on February 4th. Historically, the debates have been held at the Aldrich Library and moderated by a neutral third party. Steve Pappas, the Times Argus Editor, contacted the League of Women voters, who organize forums like this all over the state for Town Meeting Day and they proposed this format. Once Rich and I were able to find a date that agreed with both our schedules, we got the date on the books. I hope that you can watch the debate next Friday. I'm looking forward to it!
You can learn more about my priorities, my commitment to the city, and the vision I have for Barre on my website at barrevtjake.com. You can also find ways to contact me there – I look forward to these conversations.
It's time to turn the corner. It's Barre City's turn!
