Retail Cannabis: a Public Health Perspective

Many towns have Cannabis Retail Opt In votes coming up on their 2022 Town Meeting ballots. Retail stores are slated to open in October of 2022 for towns that opt in.

The Green Peak Alliance is hosting a virtual information session so that residents have the most up to date information before voting. All residents welcome to attend, specifically relevant to residents of Chester, Hartford, Springfield, Woodstock (Town and Village).

You can submit questions ahead of time
A Zoom meeting link will be sent on the morning of the 21st to anyone who registered.

The presentation will cover:
~ General overview of the retail cannabis law, Act 164
~ Most up to date decisions coming out of Vermont's Cannabis Control Board (CCB)
~ What a local Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) is and what it can do
~ Suggestions for towns should an opt-in vote pass
~ Pubic health insights related to retail cannabis, backed by data from other states
