Farm-slaughtered poultry can only be sold as whole birds. This can sometimes be tricky and intimidating for customers. Rural Vermont is hosting two classes with farmer and butcher Liz Roma to teach folks this very handy skill. And you get to take home a couple birds!
Poultry Butchering Classes! Two Dates | In-Person
Sat February 26th OR Sat March 26th | Noon-3pm
Roma's Butchery in South Royalton on Rt. 14.
$45 - $75 sliding scale (note: price includes chickens!)
* Big thanks to the South Royalton Market for sponsoring these events! *
Learn how to butcher whole birds and take home between 2-3 freshly cut chickens from this butchery class at Roma's Butchery in South Royalton. Knowing how to cut poultry is useful if you want to buy on-farm slaughtered poultry because farmers can only sell whole birds.
