The Natural Resources Inventory and Mapping Committee and Conservation Commission invite you on a family-friendly winter wildlife tracking event on Wednesday, 2/23 from noon-1:30. We'll walk in the woods in search of animal tracks, stopping along the way to do a few activities, and learn how to ID tracks. We'll learn how animals move, the various track patterns, and put on our sleuthing hats to investigate who is walking through the woods.
Recommended for ages 5-10. We'll be outside in the snow, so please dress appropriately. Snowshoes will likely be needed, but we'll see what happens to the snow over the next week... We can stay out longer if there is interest and we're not too cold!
To register and with any questions: Please email me by Monday, Feb. 21st. I will provide details on meeting spot and what to bring.
