Rosie's Girls February Camp at Generator

Past event
Feb 23, 2022, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Hello Neighbors,

Vermont Works for Women and Generator have teamed up to offer a mini Rosie's Girls Camp during the February school break (which is just around the corner!). Does your middle schooler have plans for break? There are a few spots still open for camp – register today!

About Camp: VWW has facilitated Rosie's Girls camps and afterschool programs for more than 20 years. They are so excited to partner with Generator, Burlington's own makerspace, to offer Rosie's Girls @ Generator for all girls and gender expansive youth in 6-7-8 grade.

Campers will put their design, tinker, and science skills to work making their very own PinBox 3000s (check them out here: https://pinbox3000.com/)! This fun, hands-on exploration of physics is paired with Rosie's Girls signature "Power Skills" curriculum. Power Skills activities and conversations are designed to expand campers' self-confidence, sense of possibility, and connection with one another all while exploring topics important and relevant to middle school youth. Campers will learn and create inside Generator's incredible makerspace facility in Burlington.

February 21-23, 2022 – 8:30-3:30 – $175, lunch is not provided. VWW works to ensure camp is available to all interested youth. If cost is a barrier, scholarships are available. Please contact Caelan (that's me) below or reply to this posting.
