Namibia - A Story Written in Sand, Stone, and Skeletons

Past event
Feb 21, 2022, 1:30 to 2:30 PM

On Monday, February 21 at 1:30, join Cristine Hammer virtually as she shows photos from her recent trip to Namibia. She says, "Few countries can match Namibia's sheer natural beauty. On the Atlantic side of the African continent, Namibia is a land of stunning, windswept sand dunes, lunar, rocky landscapes, desert-adapted elephants and lions, and eerie skeletal remains of hundreds of shipwrecks. Namibia's human story is just as interesting. It's a complicated tale of colonial settlement and oppression to independence in 1990. We'll visit Windhoek, Etosha, Damaraland, the Skeleton Coast, and Swakopm." It promises to be armchair traveling at its best! Sponsored by the Community Senior Center. All welcome.
