Historic Roadside Marker Dedication

Past event
May 31, 2014, 10 to 10:30 AM

On Saturday, May 31, at 10 AM, there will be a dedication ceremony for the James Hope Roadside Marker, on South Street, about a block from Main Street, in the village. Hope was a well-known portrait and landscape painter who, for 20 years, summered in his Gothic Revival cottage (built by Hope in 1851; now the Public Safety building at CSC.) Many thanks to Don and Carol Thompson; they have worked hard on this project. Questions? Call the Thompsons at 468-5309, or Holly Hitchcock at 468-5105.
