His work revealed simple nuanced forms while exploring the endless complexities found inside centuries-old trees. He came to woodworking in his mid-thirties after a worldwide search for meaning- Trained in architecture, interred during WWII - a world traveler and seeker- He found important answers to his creative questioning that brought him to evolve a new approach to woodworking.
This beautiful film, directed by his nephew, is a timeless story for anyone who has a fascination with the creative process.
