5. Department of Public Works monthly transportation report (15 minutes)
1. Department staff reports on transportation work and planning since the previous meeting.
2. Note new resident concerns as raised to staff
6. Old business
1. Full committee vote on Merchant Street intersection with Route 14 (5 minutes)
Vote on unamended motion from 1/19/22, to recommend only a design with no left turn. The chair will table this item until all members of the committee are in attendance.
7. New business
1. Vermont Agency of Transportation's Transportation Planning Initiative (30 minutes)
Funding is available through the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission to complete transportation special projects and studies, for planning and measurement not construction. The committee will provide guidance for the application due March 8th.
2. Portable vehicle speed sign placement policy (30 minutes)
Staff will provide a policy suggestion for use of our portable speed signs for the committee to consider and approve.
3. Confirm or change meeting time (5 minutes)
The committee will decide whether to continue to meet at 6:30 PM for future meetings or at an earlier time.
