To the Voters of Pomfret:

On Saturday, February 12th, at 4:00 p.m., there will be a Zoom Meet the Candidates Forum, moderated by Kevin Geiger, to get to know the people running for office in Pomfret this year. All candidates are welcome to come and speak, but the focus is on the contested seats where more than one person is running. This forum is being organized by a group of Pomfret voters whose members are identified below. This is not a town-sponsored event.

These forums are a valuable public service in any year. But, this year, when candidates can't speak from the floor at town meeting before the vote, it's even more important to have an opportunity to learn about them. We hope the forum helps you make an informed decision.

The contested seats and candidates are:
Selectboard, three years: John R. Peters Jr., Frank Perron Jr. (one seat)
Selectboard, one year: Benjamin Brickner, Jonathan Harrington, Frank Perron Jr. (You will be asked to vote for two people to fill two open one-year seats.)
Library Trustee candidates will also be invited to speak (two three-year seats available)

We hope the candidates and lots of townspeople show up. Please let us know if you have any questions. And thanks, everyone, in advance, especially those running for and holding office in the town. We appreciate your efforts.
