This Saturday is Darwin Day!

We (The Humanist Being of NW Vermont) are having a short gathering in Mills Riverside Park at the Pavilion from 3pm to 4:30 pm to celebrate Charles Darwin and Science in general.

At 3:30 we'll be lighting candles and observing a moment of silence to honor all of the scientists, free thinkers and those who struggle against ignorance and suppression of scientific knowledge.

There will be a prize given out to the best Charles Darwin costume!

Bring a little known fact about Charles Darwin to share with the group!

Come, bring a mask, bring a candle and hang out with like minded secular humanists as we celebrate one of the most iconic scientists of all time.

It may be raining so come prepared! We'll be in the Pavilion so we should be able to stay dry but bring an umbrella or rain slicker just in case!

The Humanist Being is a 501(c)3 religious (secular humanist) non profit founded in the State of Vermont in 2021 dedicated to the promotion of secular humanism, critical thinking, separation of government and religion, community, philosophy, environmentalism, social justice, altruism, and more.

We have regular meetings of like minded people. Find out more at our Meetup page! https://www.meetup.com/the-humanist-being-burlington-vt-meetup-group/
