Please join us on Monday Feb 7 for cake throughout the day to wish Kenny and Ciara the best of luck on their future adventures and thank them for their support of the community over the last 13 years running the Marshfield Village Store!
Many of you may have heard already, but for those that don't, we are planning to continue the current operations of the general store and deli pretty much the same. Kenny and Ciara have graciously worked to help train us over the last month on how the business is run to try and make the transition as smooth as possible.
With that though, we are sure there will be a few bumps along the road especially the first few days as we get into the groove, so we sincerely appreciate your patience and support as we get up to speed!
A couple of things that will be different: (1) The building itself is being placed in ownership by a nonprofit organization so that it will be preserved for the Marshfield community into the future and (2) the ownership structure of the business is transitioning to a worker-owner cooperative model (which is different from the consumer cooperative model in other nearby stores); i.e. the folks who work here will be onboarded as co-owners including all the employees who are staying on board with the new company.
We look forward to continuing to serve our local community and to seeing y'all!

In our efforts to support our local community as a priority, we are interested in expanding our local artisan, crafter, and producer products make by folks right here in Marshfield and surrounding towns.
