Craftsbury's transfer station (trash and recycling drop-off) is OPEN this Saturday, Feb 5 from 9a-1pm. James, our facilities manager, has devised a great plan to absorb last-minute staffing challenges by rotating planned closures among three sites: we'll be open two weeks, then closed one, then repeat.
Craftsbury is scheduled open 2/5 and 2/12, then closed 2/19. Then open on 2/26 and 3/5 and closed 3/12. Thank you, James and team - we appreciate the creative thinking!
When we're closed you have nearby options, including Wolcott transfer on Gulf Rd off Wild Branch (Sat and Sun 9-1) and All Metals Recycling on Rt 15 (Mon-Sat).
As always, appreciation goes a long way for our wonderful attendants and volunteers who work in the cold for us!
Our solid waste district continues to seek weekend site attendants. Pick up an application at any location or visit the Employment tab on the website: https://lrswmd.org/about/#staff-information. Hourly rate is $17.
