Want to have some fun and help out our rivers at the same time? Join the Friends of the Winooski River, the Vermont River Conservancy and Umiak Outdoor Outfitters for the Onion River Race on June 7th.

The race will start below Bolton Dam and end in Richmond, passing through a scenic cut in the Green Mountains. The race is open to experienced racers and the casual paddler alike. Recruit your family, friends and co-workers for a day of excitement, camaraderie, food, and fun! There are race classes for nonprofits and businesses. Kids as young as 8 are welcome in a boat with an experienced adult paddler.

Proceeds from the race will support projects to improve public access and riparian land restoration in the watershed.
